Muistatte varmaan kun murehdin keittiöön hankkimani Reutter-altaan kukkakuviointia:
You might still remember when I murmured about the flower-pattern on my new Reutter-sink:

Minulla kävi asian kanssa ihan hyvä pulla, sillä Kummituskartanon Marjis ehdotti Allas-Swappia :)
Hänellä sattui juuri olemaan se allas, jota itsekin olin etsinyt, mutta tuloksetta. Niinpä tyydyin tuohon kukkakuvioituun versioon. Mutta nyt, Marjiksen kiitos, Lupescun perheellä on uusi uusi allas:

Turned out I got very lucky here, since Marjis from the Kummituskartano suggested me a Sink-Swap :) She happened to have the specific sink I was looking all along. And because I didn't find one, I had to settle for that floral-printed one. And now, thanks to Marjis, the Lupescu family has a brand new new sink:

Ai että tämä on niiin hieno. Hana on erivärinen kuin minun altaassani, mutta pidän tästä enemmän:

Ah, this is sooo gorgeous. The tap is of different color than in my sink, but I like this one better:

Tämä Reutter on aavistuksen kermanvärisempi kuin posliininvalkea aiempi altaani, mutta pidän tästä "wanhasta" lookista enemmän.
Kiitokseksi loistavasti ajatellusta swapista laitoin Marjikselle altaan mukana menemään myös pari nukkisjuttua ja vähän askartelutavaraa.

This Reutter is more of a cream-colored than the last one, but I like this "old" look better.
As a thank you for a marvelous swap-idea I packed some extra in with the sink for Marjis. Such as some dollhouse-items and crafting materials.

Takka - The Fireplace

Väliaskarteluna uusi Lupescun Talo sai tietenkin vihdoin viimein tulisijan:

As a side-craft, the new Lupescu House finally got a fireplace:

Takka oli alkujaan kokonaan punaisen mahongin (tiedättehän sen perus nukkiskalustesävyn) värinen, mutta annoin sille hieman ilmettä kultamaalilla ja marmoriprintillä. Enkä tietenkään hoksannut kuvata takkaa ennen tuunausta..

This fireplace was originally all red-mahogany (the common dollhouse-furniture shade, you know,) colored, but I perked it up a notch with some gold-paint ant a marble-print. And of course I forgot to photograph it before I re-painted it..

Tuon takkaritilän, vai mikälie (kipinäsuoja?), tein eräästä Monster High -huonekalutuunauksesta ylijääneistä osista. Puut puuttuvat vielä, mutta laitan ne vasta kun saadaan valot asennettua tuonne.. 

That mantle-grate, or what ever it is (fireguard?), I made of left-over parts from a Monster High furniture tune-up. No firewood yet, but I'll stack 'em up when we get the lights put to places..

Takan yläosaan liimasin keittiöaskartelusta ylijääneen palan kartonkia.
Helmistä kasattu purnukka on vain kuvausrekvisiittaa. Mutta hetkinen..

On the above the mantle I glued a piece left from the kitchen-craft earlier.
That little jar made of beads is just a photo-prop. But what's this..

Heh heh, olen ihan höyrähtänyt kaikenlaisiin salalokeroihin, joten en vain voinut vastustaa kiusausta ;)

Kheh-heh, I'm a total kook when it comes to hidden-lockers or secret-doors, so I just couldn't resist ;)

Jepus. Etuseinä on irtonainen, ja sen takaa löytyy oikea, pieni salalokero. Kiitos pikku, öh, mattovetsimokan, siinä on jopa omat niksinsä;  tuota siivekettä täytyy vähän painaa alaspäin jotta luukku aukeaisi ;)
Nyt perheellä on (taas yksi) paikka lisää jossa säilyttää arvoesineitään (tai salaisuuksia)..

Yep. The front-side has a little slide shutter that opens up, and there is a real compartment-space behind. Because of a little, em, utility-knife flaw, there even is a trick to it; You have to press the ledge down a bit to open it ;)
Now the family has (one more) place to keep their valuables (or secrets) safe..

Savupiipun viimeistelyä - Finishing up the chimney

Kun aikaisemmin esittelemäni, munakennomassasta rakennettu piippu viimein kuivui, hioin pinnan kevyesti santapaperilla, ja aloitin maalaamisen.

After the egg-pulped chimney dried up well, I gently smoothed the surface with sand-paper, and started painting it.

Harkitsin harmaata ja okraa pintaväriä, mutta klassinen "luonnontiili" vei voiton :)

I toughed of gray and somewhat of an okra-shade chimney, but the classic "au naturel" -brick was the winner after all :)

Piipun maalasin siis silkkiväreillä ja akryyleilla. Tiilenpunainen värisävy on talon maalauksesta ylijääneistä maalitilkoista sekoitettu, uniikki miksaus.

I painted the chimney with silk-colors and acrylic-paints. The bricky-red shade is an unique mixture of left-over paints from the dollhouse-painting-project.

Tästä viimeisestä piippukuvasta tulee aina ihan musta ;D
Ehkä vähän vielä sammalta tuonne tiilenväleihin..

This last photo is just always too dark ;D
Maybe I'll add some moss on the brick cracks there..
